TIMISOARA / TEMESWAR

Timisoara, a town of diversity The Big Tour pays attention not only to the center, but also includes the old cores of the other neighbourhoods. In the middle ages, the fortress of Timisoara was surrounded by wide marshes and swamps. There was only a limited area inside the city fortress', so the subusrbs had to appear early in the history of the town. They eventualy grew much bigger than the fortress itself. All of these old neighbourhoods have their own main squares and contribute a great deal to Timisoara's diversity. |

The generously taylored Tour includes the oldest parts of the former suburbs. After seeing the center, we head for the Iosefin, the Elisabetin and the Fabric neighbourhoods. The old streets still hide some interesting buildings and stories. The Tour ends at the oldes brewery in Romania, in the Fabric. There is plenty of time during the Big Tour for lots of questions and answers. | ||||||||||||||
