A Walk Down the Inner City

It's the center of Timisoara (the so called "Inner City") you'll get to know at the small tour. The glass & metal buildings didn't affect much this area, and there's still a scent of the XVIII-th and XIX-th century's charme.

A lot of monuments are concentrated here, and there are also plenty of places to seek for culture or entertainment of all kinds.

We begin the tour in the Union Square (former Dome Square), the perfect background set for a glimpse into the spectacular town history. We set than forth to the old fortress' walls, the Liberty (former Parade) Square and we land finaly in the Victory (Opera) Square. On the way there are explanations over the highlights of the route: Dome-church, Pillar of the Plague, Bastion, "House with the Iron Tree", Statue of S. Mary, Huniade Castle, Cathedral and so on ... You also receive some hints on places to eat & drink. You gradualy get the idea of a very european, yet highly original, town.
